Final Presentation

0602

It is already the day for final presentation. Every one has prepared for this one in a great deal. Many took it as a unique academic project, and collected some original data through interviews with local students. Presentations covered a wide range of  topics, and many local students as well as host family members came and joined us.

Last Blog Entry

0601
Now, we have completed the requested task of creating and updating blogs and each group has uploaded its very last entry. There are such rich contents, vivid records on what we have seen and we felt in Japan. We wish you like the writing, and share the excitement with all of us.

New Dorm

0531
This is the moving day. We are such fortunate that we became the last group to stay in the old dormitory and then the very first group to the new dorm. With a great help and careful arrangement, the entire group, with near 10 other long term visiting students together moved into the new building. It is such big, and modern design. We will enjoy the the very short time until the end of our stay.

Elementary School Visit

0529
Today, there was another highlight of this program: together we visited a local elementary school and received a wonderful hospitality from some hundred students in Grade 6. We had a school lunch, joined their house cleaning, being presented on various Japanese culture subjects, and enjoyed their great performance of singing. It was truly memorable three hours.

Drink All You Can

0528
There was no special reason, but many gathered together to have a drink in the late evening. The instructor joined it only from the second half. Desmond had his birthday cake, and the party sang for him twice. Quite a few drank more than they do normally, but we are all fine, and enjoyed the experience very much. (It turns out that Desmond’s birthday was the reason of the party, or a fine surprise that every one prepared for him, but only the instructor had not been informed…)
